We’re tempted to believe in the either-or scenarios. Either our obedience is super pious and sacrificial or insignificant. But what if God wants to use ordinary obedience to lead us to an extraordinary life? We’ll study several scriptures, including the greatest commandment, and explore their practical application in everyday life.

Let’s face it: Obedience often feels uncomfortable, untimely, or illogical, and we wonder if following Jesus will be worth it. But obedience is always worth it. We’ll unpack several scriptures, including Matthew 16:23, to guide our search and discover truth.

My journey to yes started with no, and maybe yours did too. But God doesn’t want us to stay stuck by saying no. We’ll dig into 2 Corinthians 10:5 to discover how God changes lives.

We may question if obedience will be worth it, but our real question is—Is God good? When we doubt God’s goodness, we struggle to go where He leads and give what He asks. But what if God is not asking for something more? He’s offering something better. Jesus may be leading to an abundant life, but many of us are too stubborn to follow.

The truth is that sometimes, godly people give ungodly advice. If we’re not careful, Satan will use fear to infect love, and fear-infected love produces ungodly advice. We’ll look at several scriptures, including Romans 12:2, to learn how to deal with ungodly advice.

What do our prayers reflect about our relationship with Christ? It’s tempting to treat Jesus as our consultant or genie but not our Lord. We’ll study Acts chapter 4 to examine how the disciples prayed and ponder why safety, security, and blessings are the trademarks of so many of our prayers.
