Thank you…

I want to start this season of gratitude and worship by saying thank you for your support of me in my writing journey.  Your willingness to say yes by subscribing is enabling me to say yes to Christ.

For those unaware, in October I was accepted into Compel Training’s Book Proposal Bootcamp (BPB).  Lysa TerKeurst and Thomas Nelson Publishing have partnered to offer 2-4 Christian writers with book contracts at the end of the training.

Publishers consider three things when considering a writer for a book contract: Concept, Content, Conversation.  Concept and Content speak to the relevancy of the topic and how well it is written.  Conversation speaks to the author’s platform.  Specifically, they look for a minimal of 5000 email subscribers. Publisher’s seek to invest in writers with an established platform to offset their risk involved.

This is why the BPB is an incredible opportunity.  Lysa TerKeurst, NYT Best Selling author and founder of Proverbs 31 Ministry, will come along side the authors selected and help market their book through her platform.

It has been a blessing to meet other God-fearing men and women compelled to write. Each of their stories remind me our God is Good and Faithful.  I am confident God will use whomever is selected to pitch to Thomas Nelson Publishing powerfully.   (But I still hope it is me. ?)

Currently, I am still several hundred short of my 1000 subscriber goal and the Book Proposal Bootcamp(BPB)  ends in January.  I would greatly appreciate if you would continue to encourage one or two friends to join me in my journey to yes by subscribing.  Also, please pray God will increase my perseverance in the faith and the favor of the Lord will rest upon me and establish the work of my hands. (Ps. 90: 17)

Specifically, I feel called to empower Believers to say yes to God because saying yes leads to the passion, purpose, and satisfaction we crave.

For years, I questioned if the prompts I sensed were from the Holy Spirit or just my crazy idea. I noticed most of God’s prompts were inconvenient, costly, awkward, or embarrassing. When I finally began leaning into God and taking these awkward, inconvenient, or costly leaps of faith, my life changed.  I found passion, purpose, and satisfaction in the oddest places.  I walked away from these leaps of faith refreshed. Renewed.

I still fight to overcome no and get to yes.  However, I have learned on the other side of awkward, inconvenient. and costly is life.  The abundant life Christ promised. (John 10:10)

Praying this Christmas season God will enable you to overcome awkward, inconvenient or costly and find life in odd places.

Thanks again for helping me say yes to Him.❤

XOXO

  1. Keep the faith, it will happen. The Lord told us it would not be easy and that is when we don’t see the light but we have to be His light. Reflect how much you learned so far and how it is growing you. God is faithful in His own time, keep on going. There are many backing you in prayer. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
