Follow-up SYATP/Reminder Bring Your Bible to School
I wanted to hop on and give a quick follow up from SYATP and a reminder for Bring Your Bible to School on Oct 3.
There were some encouraging take-aways from SYATP. Several students turned out to pray. One student took it upon herself to make additional prayer cards. A High-Schooler, who attended our event with her Middle School brother, asked to take/use any remaining prayer cards to the High School SYATP. A friend at a neighboring school caught wind of what we were doing and helped organized a SYATP event at her school. AND–they had a great turn out!
But truthfully, I walked away from SYATP a little disappointed and discouraged more students did not come out to pray. I put my eyes on what was seen instead on what is unseen. (2 Corn. 4:16)
A friend shared the article below with me this morning. Tears welled in my eyes and I was brought to my knees in my spirit. I hope you will take the time to read it. It is well worth it. God reminded me what he can do with just “one” person who will say “yes” to Him. Forgive me Lord for not trusting you with just “one”. Teach me to BE the “one”.

Shifting gears…Bring Your Bible to School Day is Thursday October 3.
In case you are tempted to dismiss the impact of bringing your Bible to school, I wanted to share this with you.
I just finished a book by Becket Cook. In 2009, Becket was deeply involved in the homosexual lifestyle in Hollywood, CA. One day, he and a friend sat down at their local coffee shop. Almost inconceivably, a man sat down beside them and pulled out a Bible. They were so intrigued by this man and his Bible, they started a conversation with him. At their request, the man presented the gospel. The following Sunday, Becket experienced a radical conversion by the Holy Spirit. He fell in love with Jesus that day and immediately left his previous lifestyle. He has never been the same.
All because one man brought a Bible to a coffee shop…
Hope you will enjoy these few nuggets of truth/conviction…
XOXO
